The Conifers in Par – A Small but Beautiful Self Catering Flat

The Conifers is a newly refurbished, stylish, little 3 room flat in the middle of Par Nature Reserve. The flat is only 100m from the bus stop to Fowey/Truro and 1.1 miles from Par beach. Set in a lovely Victorian garden, the apartment is surrounded by beautiful woodlands and local walks. We are only a 4 minute walk from Par train station and the nearest pub with food (The Royal Inn) .

The flat has a small galley kitchen, a small double bedroom and good sized bathroom. There is also a laundry room just outside the flat. It has its own entrance with a very large double drive and secure, dry storage with hose, for boards, bikes, muddy dogs etc.  

The Bedroom

The double bedroom has an incredibly comfortable hybrid bed which has traditional springs overlaid with memory foam and a gel infused top layer. It is supportive for bad backs yet incredibly soft on top. One of our guests even bought the same mattress. There is a desk with a book swap and a Freeview Play HDTV with Disney+,  Amazon and Netflix. Our Wi-Fi  is free, works well and averages ls 35.5 Mb/s. We can swap the desk for a cot (0-3yrs) if needed. There are smart USb sockets in the bedroom and kitchen so no chargers necessary!

Garden and Dining Terrace

We are carefully restoring our beautiful Victorian garden which is now open to guests along with our dining terrace. We have zero gravity sun loungers if you want to relax and put your feet up. We also have Football goals, Basketball, Swing-ball and Body Boards for the beach etc. if you are feeling energetic.

The Bathroom

The bathroom is a modern shower room in chrome, white and blue with a walk in shower cubicle. It has an overhead shower ( plus hand held head)  which is truly heavenly; you won’t want to get out!

The Kitchen

The galley kitchen may be small (5ft 6 x 10ft 2) but it contains everything you need, such as tea, coffee (instant, filter and decaf), herbals, spices, oils, condiments etc. It contains a:

• Full sized dishwasher
• 104 litre fridge with large 17 litre icebox
• 20 litre microwave, convection oven and grill
• 3 litre air fryer
• Plug in induction hob with extractor fan
• Hand Blender
• Every kind of cooking equipment you will ever need

Parking and storage

Guests have their own double driveway leading to their own entrance at the back of the house (it can accommodate a bus). Once through the gate (60cm wide), the flat path to the apartment door is covered by a picturesque bridge and long glass porch which you can use to securely store surf boards, wetsuits, inflatables etc. There is also a hose gun just inside the gate for muddy dogs and bikes. You are welcome to store bags once you have checked out, free of charge.

Laundry Room

There is a utility room in a porch just outside the flat entrance. There is a fee of £5 for a quick wash and dry, £9.00 for a 4hr wash and dry or I leave it up to you if it’s somewhere in between. Anything that can’t go in the dryer can go on a clothes horse under the covered glass porch to dry or you can use my washing line under cover. There is an iron and ironing mat in the room and a large board in the laundry. You are welcome to fluff up your bathroom towels in the drier, free of charge.

Interaction with guests 

We live in the family house in front of the flat. The apartment is behind our house on the ground floor. If you need to speak to us, you can knock on our door, text or phone. 

You don’t have to interact with us. We can show you in but we are just as happy to put the keys in the safe next to your door and let you check in and out alone. All the information you might need is on a laminated sheet on the bedside table with our phone number.
